Informal complaints: Limited waiver of confidentiality regarding records of client.

1. If a complainant filing an accusation is the client of and is filing an accusation relating to his or her treatment by a marriage and family therapist, clinical professional counselor or intern, the Board will provide the complainant with a form for a limited waiver of confidentiality regarding his or her records. 2. If the Board provides a limited waiver of confidentiality to a complainant filing an accusation, the staff or legal counsel for the Board will not further review or process the accusation until the limited waiver of confidentiality has been signed by the complainant and returned to the Board. 3. After the complainant signs and returns the limited waiver of confidentiality regarding his or her records to the Board, the Board will initially consider the accusation as an informal complaint.
