Weapons and ammunition.

1. Except as otherwise provided in NRS 424.044 and subsection 2, any weapons, such as firearms, air rifles, bows, hunting knives or hunting sling shots, must be unloaded at all times when children are in the foster home. They must be stored in locked containers or made inoperable. Ammunition and arrows must be stored in separate locked containers. Weapons must not be transported in any vehicle in which children are riding unless the weapons are made inoperable and inaccessible. 2. A person described in subsection 1 of NRS 424.044 who wishes to possess a firearm or ammunition on the premises of a family foster home in accordance with the provisions of NRS 424.044 shall provide the licensing authority with appropriate documentation demonstrating that the person is a person described in subsection 1 of NRS 424.044 . A person who has not met the requirements of this subsection must comply with the requirements of subsection 1.
