Streptococcal toxic shock syndrome.

The health authority shall investigate each report of a case having streptococcal toxic shock syndrome to: 1. Confirm the diagnosis; 2. Determine the extent of any outbreak; and 3. Determine the need for measures to prevent, suppress and control the spread of the disease, including, without limitation, procedures to exclude, isolate or quarantine the case.
