Variance or exemption from regulation of Commission: Application; notice and hearing; participation of Public Utilities Commission of Nevada.

1. A supplier of water may apply to the Commission for a variance or exemption from the regulations of the Commission. The Commission may grant variances or exemptions after notice and public hearing. 2. A supplier of water shall notify all users of the water system as soon as the Commission has scheduled a time and place for the public hearing on the application for a variance or exemption. 3. The Public Utilities Commission of Nevada may participate in the hearing. (Added to NRS by 1977, 444; A 1981, 1900; 1997, 1998; 2005, 556)
