Persons with alcohol or other substance use disorders must be admitted to public or private general medical hospitals which receive federal or state money for programs for alcohol or other substance use disorders, and must be treated in those hospitals on the basis of their medical need. No general medical hospital that violates this section is eligible to receive further federal or state assistance pursuant to this chapter. (Added to NRS by 1973, 1398; A 1997, 3077; 1999, 3069)
