January 22, 1976 SUBJECT: INSURANCE CIRCULAR LETTER NO. 3 (1976) TO: ALL INSURERS AUTHORIZED TO WRITE MEDICAL MALPRACTICE INSURANCE IN NEW YORK STATE RE: UNIFORM STATISTICAL PLAN FOR MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE - EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1976. This Department has approved the Uniform Statistical Plan for Medical Professional Liability Insurance filed by the Insurance Services Office and the National Association of Independent Insurers, to take effect January 1, 1976. All insurers are directed to report their experience in accordance with the requirements of such Statistical Plan to either one of the above organizations. Companies are requested to notify this Department by February 15, 1976 of the organization to which they will report their experience.
