A critical access hospital (CAH) is a hospital determined by the Department to be a necessary provider of health care services to residents of a rural community. The CAH shall be the sole provider of hospital services in the community and is to allow the provision of OAC 310:667 OKLAHOMA STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH 71 September 13, 2019 primary hospital care in a rural community that is unable to support a general medical surgical hospital.
