Responsibility for costs incurred

Payment of fees incurred for daily boarding, euthanasia, preparation
and transport of specimens for laboratory testing, or any other costs
incurred to comply with Chapter 310:599 shall be the responsibility of
the person or entity owning, keeping, or harboring the animal. If the
animal is a stray or wild animal without a custodian, the bite victim or
their legal guardian, shall be responsible for payment.
