The Gorge Commission is a regional agency created by Oregon and Washington through an interstate compact (codified at ORS 196.150 and RCW 43.97.015) with the consent of the U.S. Congress (16 U.S.C. § 544c(a)(1)). The members of the Gorge Commission are appointed as provided in 16 U.S.C. § 544c(a)(1)(C) and Article II of the compact. The members of the Gorge Commission appoint the executive director as the administrative head of the Gorge Commission. (2) Contact Information. The Gorge Commission has one office located at 57 N.E.
