(1) The rules in OAR chapter 411, division 328 prescribe standards for providers delivering home and community-based services to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in a supported living setting. (a) Supported living provides the opportunity for an individual to live in the residence of their choice within the community, recognizing that the individual’s needs and preferences may change over time. (b) The levels of support are based on an individual’s needs and preferences as identified in their functional needs assessment and defined in their Individual Support Plan. (2) These rules incorporate the provisions for home and community-based services and settings, person-centered service planning, and individually-based limitations, set forth in OAR chapter 411, division 004. (3) These rules, and the rules in OAR chapter 411, division 004, ensure individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities receive services in settings that are integrated in, and support the same degree of access to, the greater community as people not receiving home and community-based services.
