OAR 635-500-0445. American Shad

(1) The following operating principle applies to American shad in the Coos River Basin: American shad shall be managed for wild fish consistent with the Wild Fish Management Policy. Hatchery fish shall not be released in the Coos River system. (2) In accordance with this operating principle, it is the objective of the Department to maintain a stable population of American shad while striving to increase harvest of the species.
