OAR 635-500-1620. Winter Steelhead

Policy and objectives for winter steelhead in Tualatin subbasin: (1) Policy: Consistent with achieving the desired status for Upper Willamette River winter steelhead DPS identified in the Upper Willamette River Conservation and Recovery Plan for Chinook Salmon and Steelhead (OAR 635-500-6600), the Tualatin subbasin shall be managed for production of wild winter steelhead. (2) Wild winter steelhead shall be managed for natural production. No hatchery-produced winter steelhead, including STEP fry, shall be released.
