OAR 736-018-0060. Management of State Park Forests: Objectives

(1) Protect the natural qualities of sensitive forest resources. (2) Manage forests to control fire and destructive pests, improve growth and vigor, rehabilitate damaged areas, and create desirable conditions. (3) Manage forests for safe, attractive, and compatible recreation opportunities. (4) Revenue generation is not an objective of park forest management, except in areas designated through publicized processes as being surplus to park needs.
