OAR 847-010-0090. Clinical Clerkships and Preceptorships

A medical student may participate in the diagnosis and treatment of Oregon patients under the following circumstances: (1) The student is enrolled in a medical school accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education, the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation, or the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools; (2) The student is supervised by an actively practicing, Oregon-licensed health care professional in good standing who is qualified and competent to supervise the student’s clinical experience; and (3) Care is delivered within the scope and context of a course, clerkship, preceptorship or other clinical experience approved by an accredited medical school or affiliated teaching institution in Oregon.
