Procedure to Authorize Supervised Training at the

Agency
A. The student trainee shall comply with the following
procedure:
1. Fill Form PPR-636 Request for Supervised Training
("Solicitud de Práctica Supervisada") and submit it
with the following:
a. Two (2) recent 2 X 2 photographs
b. Medical Certificate
C. Police Record
2. The student trainee shall agree to submit him or
herself to drug testing to be conducted at the Medical
Examiner's Office. (Instituto de Ciencias Forenses)

3. Shall complete Form PPR-638 ("Relevo de
Responsabilidades") releasing the Agency from
responsibilities.
B. The educational institution shall proceed in the following
manner:
1. Present evidence of accreditation by the Council on
Higher Education.
2. Enter annually into an "Agreement for Supervised
Training" that shall be valid for the duration of the
academic year.
3. Shall annually provide public liability insurance
covering student participation at the institution and
at the Agency.
4. The above mentioned documents shall remain on file at
the Legal Affairs Office.
5. Shall prepare a list for each student including: the
subject matter covered by the course, indicators to be
observed, the method to measure participant progress,
and any forms the institution wants the student
supervisor to fill in or sign.
C. All documents, including those to be filled by the student
trainee and copies of those generated by the educational
institution, shall be sent in an envelope addressed to the
Police Superintendent.
D. Upon receipt of the documents, the Superintendent shall
refer them to the Office of the Assistant Superintendent
of Management Services ("Superintendente Auxiliar en
Servicios Generales").
E. The Assistant Superintendent of Management Services, or
his designated representative, shall evaluate applications
in coordination with the Legal Office within the fifteen
(15) days following the date of receipt at said office.

F. A letter shall be prepared by the person evaluating each
case informing the student trainee and the educational
institution of decision taken. Said letters shall be
signed by the Superintendent.
