TERMS DEFINITION 2 For the purpose of this regulation, the following words, phrases, or abbreviated terms will have the following meanings: 1. "GSA"-General Services Administration. 2. "JIA"-Juvenile Institutions Administration. 3. "GSA Administrator"-Admisnistrator of the General Services Administration. 4. "JIA Administrator"-Administrator of the Juvenile Institutions Administration. 5. "Office"-Administration Office of the JIA. 6. "Section"-General Services Section of the Administration Office of the JIA 7. "Work Unit"-it refers to any component of the organizational structure of the JIA in its central level or institutions (centers.) 8. "Director"-The Transportation Director, who is appointed by the GSA Administrator, as requested by the JIA Administrator. He/she will be in charge of the development of the function of JIA transportation. 9. "Subdirector"-Official named in the same way as the Director,so that in his/her absence or by delegation, the Subdirector could do the work of the Transporation's Office. 10. "Auxiliary Director"-Official in charge of the transportation at the institution's level with a similar appointment of the Director and the Subdirector. 11. "Driver"-any person authorized by the GSA Administrator as requested by the JIA Administrator to drive official vehicles. 12. "Fleet"-the whole group of official vehicles of the JIA, no matter where they are located or assigned. 13. "Pool"- part of the JIA'S fleet assigned to the daily transportation of equipment, materials, documents and staff during work hours and controlled by the Auxiliary Director. Other words and phrases will be defined in its correspondent parts for its better understanding.
