ARTICLE 760 - FIRE PROTECTIVE SIGNALING SYSTEMS
A. General
760-1. Scope. This article covers the installation of wiring and equipment
of fire protective signaling systems operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less.
(FPN No. 1): Fire protective signaling systems include fire alarm, guard tour,
sprinkler waterflow, and sprinkler supervisory systems. For further information on
the installation and supervision requirements for fire protective signaling systems,
refer to the following:
NFPA 71-1989 - Installation, Maintenance, and Use of Signaling Systems for
Central Station Service.
NFPA 72-1990 - Installation, Maintenance, and Use of Protective Signaling
Systems.
NFPA 72E-1990 - Automatic Fire Detectors.
NFPA 74-1989 - Installation, Maintenance, and Use of Household Fire Warning
Equipment.
