111.8a - Puertas de Pozo Provistas de Inmovilizadores.
Las puertas de pozo se considerarán cerradas bajo
las siguientes condiciones:
1. Para puertas de corredera horizontal o de vaivén y puertas de corredera vertical equilibradas:
a. Sólo cuando el borde anterior de la
puerta este dentro de las cuatro (4) pulgadas de la superficie más cercana de la
jamba o cuando los paneles de la puerta
del tipo que abre desde el centro estén
a la distancia de cuatro (4) pulgadas
de contacto entre cada una siempre que:

(1) El carro sea operado desde el inte-

(2) Las puertas sean del tipo de corredera horizontal.
(3) Las puertas sean accionadas mecânicamente o estén equipadas con cierres automáticos.
(4) Se provee un enclavador de puerta
de pozo con medios para inmovilizar

the door on closing when or before
the interlock contact closes, so
that the door cannot be opened
from the landing side more than
four (4) inches from any position
between this position and the
closed position, as defined in
subdivision 1 (b) of this rule.
(5) The door-closing device is of a
type which will normally close the
door to the closed position as
defined in subdivision 1 (b) of
this rule, and lock it in this
position.
b. For conditions which do not conform to
subdivision 1 (a) of this rule, only
when the leading edge of the door is
within three-eights (3/8) inch of the
nearest face of the jamb or sill or
when the panels of horizontally sliding
bi-parting doors are within three-eights
(3/8) inch of contact with each other.
2. For vertically sliding bi-parting counterbalanced doors, when the closing doors are not
more than three-quarters (3/4) inch from their
stopped position (See Rule 110.1c-3b-1).
