Mechanism Switches. 206.4 - Where Required. 206.4a A switch shall be provided on the speed governor and operated by the over-speed action of the governor when used with type B and C car safeties of elevators having a rated speed exceeding one hundred fifty (150) feet per minute. A switch shall be provided on the speed governor when used a counterweight safety for any car speed. Every car safety shall be provided with a switch operated by the car safety mechanism when the safety is applied. These switches shall, when operated, remove power from the driving machine motor and brake before or at the time of application of the safety. 206.4b - Setting of speed-governor overspeed switches. 206.4b The setting of the car speed-governor overspeed switch shall conform to the following: 1. Cabezales 1/960 de la luz. b. Tablonaje 1/960 de la luz. C. Soportes (largueros), según lo determinado en la Parte XII, Sección 1201, Regla 1201.5(c). d. Para piezas del armazón de la plataforma, 1/960 de la luz. NOTA: Los límites de las desviaciones señaladas en esta regla son aplicables independientemente USAS, A17.1 del tipo de acero u otro metal usado.
