Seguridad del Carro.
206.4a
206. 4a Donde sean requeridos.
Se proveerá un interruptor al regulador de velocidad que sea accionado por la acción de la sobrevelocidad del regulador cuando se use con dispositivos
de seguridad de carro, tipo B y C en ascensores que
tengan una velocidad normal en exceso de ciento cincuenta pies por minuto. Se proveerá un interruptor
en el regulador de velocidad cuando se use con un dispositivo de seguridad de contrapeso para cualquier
velocidad del carro.
Cada dispositivo de seguridad de carro estará
provisto de un interruptor accionado por el mecanismo de
seguridad del carro cuando el dispositivo de seguridad
es accionado.
Estos interruptores, al ser accionados, removerán
la energÃa eléctrica de la máquina impulsora y aplicarán el freno antes o al instante en que se aplique el
dispositivo de seguridad.

206.4b Calibración del Interruptor de Sobrevelocidad
del Regulador de Velocidad.
La calibración del interruptor de sobrevelocidad
del regulador de velocidad del carro será conforme a
lo siguiente:
1. Para velocidades normales mayores de ciento
cincuenta pies por minuto y hasta

five hundred (500) feet per minute, the car
speed-governor overspeed switch shall open
in the down direction of the elevator at not
more than ninety (90) per cent of the speed
at which the governor is set to trip in the
down direction.
2. The rated speeds more than five hundred (500)
feet per minute, the car speed-governor overspeed switch shall open in the down direction
of the elevator at not more than ninety five
(95) per cent of the speed at which the governor is set to trip in the down direction.
3. The switch, when set as specified in either
subdivision 1 or 2 of this rule, shall open
in the up direction at not more than one
hundred (100) per cent of the speed at which
the governor is set to trip in the down
direction.
Exception: The speed-governor overspeed switch may
be set to open in the down direction of the
elevator at not more than one hundred (100)
per cent of the speed at which the governor
is set to trip in the down direction, subject to the following requirements:
1. A speed-reducing switch of the manually reset
type is provided on the governor which will
reduce the speed of the elevator in case of
overspeed, and which shall be set to open as
specified in (1) and (2) above.
2. Subsequent to first stop of the car following
the opening of the speed-reducing switch, the
car shall remain inoperative until the switch
is manually reset.
