Los ascensores de carga serán diseñados para una de las siguientes clases de cargas: 1. Clase A Cargamento de Cargas Generales. Donde la carga sea distribuída, el peso de cualquier pieza de carga individual o de cualquier carretón de mano y su carga no sea mayor de un cuarto (1/4) de la carga máxima permisible del ascensor y la carga se manipule hacia adentro o hacia afuera de la plataforma del carro manualmente o mediante carretones de mano. Para esta clase de carga, la carga máxima permisible será basada en no menos de cincuenta (50) libras por pie cuadrado del área neta interior de la plataforma. 2. Clase B Cargas de Vehículos de Motor. Donde el ascensor se usa solamente para llevar camiones o autos de pasajeros hasta la capacidad mâxima del ascensor. Para esta clase de cargas, la carga máxima permisible se basará en no menos de treinta (30) libras por pulgada cuadrada de área neta interior de plataforma. 3. Existen tres tipos dentro de las cargas Clase C, tal como sigue: Clase C-1 Carga de Carro Industrial, donde el carro industrial es transportado por el ascensor. Clase C-2 Carga de Carro Industrial, donde el carro industrial no es transportado por el ascensor pero se usa solamente en la operación de carga y descarga. Clase C-3 - Otras cargas con Concentraciones Pesadas donde el carro industrial no se usa. - 74 - ENGLISH TEXT These loadings apply where the weight of the concentrated load including an industrial power or hand truck, if used, is more than one-quarter (1/4) the rated load but does not exceed the rated load. The following requirements shall apply to Class USAS; A17.1 C-1, Class C-2, and Class C-3 loadings: Ibid a) The rated load of the elevator shall be not 207.2b less than the load (including any truck) to be carried, and shall in no case be less than load based on fifty (50) pounds per square foot of inside net platform area. b) The elevator shall be provided with a two-way automatic leveling device. For Class C-1 and Class C-2 loadings, the following additional requirements shall apply: c) For elevators with rated loads of twentythousand (20,000) pounds or less, the car platform shall be designed for a loaded truck of weight equal to the rated load or for the actual weight of the loaded truck to be used, whichever is greater. For elevators with rated loads exceeding twenty-thousend (20,000) pounds, the car platform shall be designed for a loaded truck weighting twenty-thousand (20 (20,000) pounds or for the actual weight of the loaded truck to be used, whichever is greater. d) For Class C-2 loadings, the maximum load on the the car platform during loading or unloading shall not exceed one-hundred and fifty (150) per cent of rated load.
