All parts of the machinery and equipment requiring lubrication should be lubricated at regular periodic intervals with lubricants of a grade as recommended by the manufacturer. The use of excessive amounts of lubricants should be avoided. 1000.1a - Hoisting and Counterweight Wire Ropes.
