roping shall be reshackled at the car ends at intervals not longer than: 1. Twelve (12) months for machines located over the hoistway. 2. Twenty-four (24) months for machines located below or at side of the hoistway. Exception: Where auxiliary rope-fastening devices conforming to Part II, Section 212, Rule 212.10, are installed, reshackling at the periods specified shall not be required provided that where such devices are installed all hoisting ropes shall be reshackled on the failure or indication of failure of any rope fastening. 1000.3b** Reshackling Procedure
