b. The rope socketing shall be such as to develop at least eighty (80) per cent of the ultimate breaking strength of the strongest rope to be used in such fastenings, and C. U-bolt type rope clips (clamps) shall not be used for such fastenings. 212.9b - Adjustable Shackle Rods.
