2703.1 Scope. The provisions of this chapter and the Telecommunications Industry Association
(TIA) Common Standards and Premise Standards shall govern the design and construction of the
telecommunication infrastructure, and the installation of components, appliances, equipment and
systems used in buildings and structures covered by this code.
The Puerto Rico Telecommunication Regulatory Board may, by way of Technical Bulletins and
or Regulations amend or clarify the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) adopted
standards.
