AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEMS

903.2.8 Group R. An automatic sprinkler system installed in accordance with Section 903.3 shall be provided throughout all buildings with a Group R fire area. Exceptions: 1. Residential occupancy Group R-2, construction type I, when the floor level having an occupant load of 30 or less that is located 45 feet (16.76 m) or less above the lowest level of fire department vehicle access. 2.
