S.C. Code Regs. 103-490. General

A. The commission hereby adopts the Federal Minimum Safety Standards for the Transportation of Natural and Other Gas, 49 C.F.R. as applicable to gas systems and as amended from time to time, except where otherwise ordered by the commission. B. Under the authority of S. C. Code Ann. Sections 58-5-980 (1976), the commission herein establishes additional minimum safety standards, as noted infra. Such modifications reflect additional requirements to those established by 49 C.F.R., and are not to be construed as deleting the existing Federal requirement. C. Under the authority of S. C. Code Ann. Sections 58-5-960 (1976), the safety standards adopted by the commission apply to all gas systems. D. As criteria of accepted good safety practice, in addition to those of 49 C.F.R., as amended from time to time, the commission will use the applicable provisions of the standards listed in regulation 103-461.
