Outreach activities will be coordinated by the agency through local agencies and organizations within each county. The purpose of the Food Stamp Outreach Program is to: (1) Inform low income households of the application process and availability of benefits; (2) Enlist the cooperation of other agencies and organizations in distributing FS program information and in facilitating the participation of eligible benefit groups; (3) Identify reasons why eligible households do not participate in the FS program; and (4) Plan actions to remove barriers to participation in the FS program
