The commission of any joint system may make application for grants and enter into contracts for and accept grants in aid and loans from the federal and state governments and their agencies in connection with the planning, acquiring, constructing, expanding, maintaining, and operating any project, or participating in any research or development program in connection therewith. The commission may agree to comply with any reasonable conditions which are imposed upon such grants, loans, or aids, and may accept such without a contract. Effect of Amendment The 2007 amendment reprinted this section with no apparent change.
