Death chamber; transporting inmate to place of execution, expenses.

The Department of Corrections shall provide a death chamber and all necessary appliances for inflicting this penalty and pay the costs thereof out of any funds in its hands. The expense of transporting an inmate to the state prison system must be borne by the county in which the offense was committed. Effect of Amendment The 2010 amendment rewrote the section.
