Penitentiary employee aiding in escape; penalty.

It is unlawful for a person employed in keeping, taking care of, or guarding a correctional facility or its prisoners to contrive, procure, connive at, or otherwise voluntarily suffer or permit the escape of a prisoner. A person who violates the provisions of this section is guilty of a felony and, upon conviction, must be imprisoned not more than ten years.
