ARSD 24:28:20:16. Law, public safety, security and corrections career cluster endorsement

For an individual who has completed an elementary preparation program, a law, public safety, security and corrections career cluster endorsement requires completion of a two-credit CTE methods course. This endorsement also requires completion of one of the following: passage of the state-designated content test, completion of state-required coursework, 4,000 hours of validated work experience in a related field within the previous five years, or certification as a law enforcement officer. Effective July 1, 2019, passage of the state-designated pedagogy test is also required.
