ARSD 67:16:39:09. Use of medical assistance identification card required

For a service to be covered, a recipient must present the recipient's medical assistance identification card to a provider before obtaining the service. Failure to present the card is cause for payment denial. Payment for such denied service becomes the responsibility of the recipient.
