Water must be derived from a community water system or from a water system that is tested at least annually by a laboratory certified by the State of South Dakota to test drinking water. The water must be tested for bacteria and nitrate levels and must be safe for consumption. The provider shall maintain documentation of the test results.
The hot water supply system must be large enough to meet the peak hot water demands of the facility. Hot water from plumbing fixtures normally utilized for the everyday living activities of clients may not exceed one hundred twenty degrees Fahrenheit.
