Prosecution for assault or homicide not barred--Civil action

A conviction of a violation of any of the provisions of this chapter shall not be a bar to a prosecution for an assault or for a homicide or to a civil action for injury caused by any person in operating a motor vehicle. Source: SDC 1939, § 44.0117.
