Emergency Powers

When, in the judgment of the Chancellor of the University of
Tennessee at Martin, conditions are such that an emergency exists which makes it impossible for the
system of judicial boards to function, he/she may suspend these procedural regulations. If the procedures
are suspended, he/she may substitute for them arrangements for handling disciplinary matters that will
insure the orderly functioning of the University and at the same time safeguard the basic rights of the
students and student organizations.
