Testing Infected Herds

Frequency and duration of brucellosis testing of known infected herds, and age of animals to be tested
shall be determined by the State Veterinarian, or his representative, based on recommended guidelines
as set forth in the Uniform Methods and Rules (UM&R), or as may be necessary, in their professional
opinion, to rid the herd of infection and to prevent spread of the disease to other cattle.
(2)
Previously infected herds of cattle shall be subjected to at least one additional test not less than ninety
(90) days following their release from quarantine.
