Purpose

The purpose of these rules is to effectuate the Tennessee Education Savings Account Program (“Program”)
as required by T.C.A. §§ 49-6-2601, et seq. Pursuant to T.C.A. § 49-6-2605, The Department of Education
(“Department”) may contract with a non-profit organization for some or all portions of the Program. If the
Department contracts for some or all portions of the Program, any reference to the Department herein may
be assigned to the contractor.
