Removal Service

(1) No removal service, as defined in T.C.A. Title 62, Chapter 5, Part 1, shall operate in this state without first registering with the Board as a removal service. (2) An application for registration as a removal service shall be submitted on a form prescribed by the Board and shall be accompanied by a nonrefundable fee as set by the Board and proof of liability insurance in an amount set by the Board. (3) The Board may renew a certificate of registration provided that an application for renewal, accompanied by a nonrefundable fee set by the Board and proof of liability insurance in an amount set by the Board, is received by the Board no later than the date of expiration. (4) At no time shall a dead human body be transported in any manner with a dead non-human body unless prior written consent is obtained from the responsible party for the dead human body.
