Home Bulletins 2003 Bulletins B-0047-03 December 5, 2003 To:   ALL COMPANIES, CORPORATIONS, EXCHANGES, MUTUALS, RECIPROCALS, ASSOCIATIONS, LLOYDS, OR OTHER INSURERS WRITING PROPERTY AND CASUALTY INSURANCE IN THE STATE OF TEXAS AND TO OTHER AGENTS AND REPRESENTATIVES AND THE PUBLIC GENERALLY Re:   Regarding Weather-Related Events Occurring on 11/16-18/03 In accordance with the Insurance Code, Article 21.55 §5(d), and 28 TAC 5.9303, the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on November 16, 2003 through November 18, 2003, in the counties of Bell, Bexar, Brazoria, Brazos, Chambers, Collin, Dallas, El Paso, Fort Bend, Galveston, Hardin, Harris, Hidalgo, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Newton, Orange, Parker, San Jacinto, Tarrant, Travis, Tyler and Wharton are a catastrophe for the purpose of claims processing. Claims resulting directly from the above-defined catastrophe shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Article 21.55 §5(d), Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
