Home Bulletins 2008 Bulletins cc23.html May 1, 2008 To:   ALL COMPANIES, CORPORATIONS, EXCHANGES, MUTUALS, RECIPROCALS, ASSOCIATIONS, LLOYDS, OR OTHER INSURERS WRITING PROPERTY AND CASUALTY INSURANCE IN THE STATE OF TEXAS AND TO OTHER AGENTS AND REPRESENTATIVES AND THE PUBLIC GENERALLY Re:   Weather-related events occurring on April 23, 2008 through April 24, 2008 In accordance with the Insurance Code, Section 542.059, and 28 TAC 5.9303, the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on April 23, 2008 through April 24, 2008, in the counties of Borden, Bosque, Callahan, Collin, Comanche, Dawson, Eastland, Ellis, Erath, Fisher, Gaines, Gray, Hansford, Hartley, Hemphill, Hill, Hockley, Hood, Johnson, Jones, Lamb, Limestone, Martin, McLennan, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Parmer, Scurry, Shackelford, Somervell, Stephens, Tarrant, and Taylor are a catastrophe for the purpose of claims processing. Claims resulting directly from the above-defined catastrophe in the counties listed above shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Section 542.059, Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
