Home Bulletins 2000 B-0031-00 May 12, 2000 To:   ALL COMPANIES, CORPORATIONS, EXCHANGES, MUTUALS, RECIPROCALS, ASSOCIATIONS, LLOYDS, OR OTHER INSURERS WRITING PROPERTY AND CASUALTY INSURANCE IN THE STATE OF TEXAS AND TO OTHER AGENTS AND REPRESENTATIVES AND THE PUBLIC GENERALLY Re:   Regarding Weather Related Events Occurring on May 3-5, 2000 In accordance with the Insurance Code, Article 21.55 §5(d), and 28 TAC 5.9303, the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on May 3, 2000, through May 5, 2000, in the counties of Anderson, Atascosa, Austin, Bandera, Bastrop, Bexar, Bowie, Brazoria, Brazos, Burleson, Caldwell, Calhoun, Cameron, Camp, Cass, Chambers, Cherokee, Colorado, Collin, Comal, Dallas, Delta, Denton, Eastland, Ellis, Fannin, Franklin, Freestone, Fort Bend, Gaines, Galveston, Grayson, Gregg, Grimes, Guadalupe, Hardin, Harris, Harrison, Haskell, Hays, Henderson, Hill, Hood, Hopkins, Hunt, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Kauffman, Kendall, Kent, Lee, Liberty, Lamar, Marion, Matagorda, McLennan, Medina, Milam, Montgomery, Morris, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Panola, Parker, Rains, Red River, Rockwall, Rusk, San Jacinto, Smith, Somervell, Tarrant, Titus, Travis, Upshur, Van Zandt, Victoria, Waller, Walker, Washington, Webb, Wharton, Wilbarger, Williamson, Wilson, Wise, Wood Yoakum, and Young Counties are a catastrophe for the purpose of claims processing. Claims resulting directly from the above-defined catastrophe shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Article 21.55 §5(d), Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
