Pike, Insurance Commissioner Date: January 24, 2024 Subject: Reporting Motor Vehicle Policies to Insure-Rite An insurer that issues a policy with motor vehicle liability coverage, uninsured motorist coverage, underinsured motorist coverage, or personal injury coverage must regularly report those policies to Insure-Rite. Utah Code § 31A-22-315(2). This reporting requirement applies to policies issued for all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and utility task/terrain vehicles (UTVs) that have been modified to qualify as “street legal” under Utah Code § 41-6a-1509. Please be sure that your bimonthly reporting includes policies issued for street legal ATVs and UTVs. Violators are subject to a fine of up to $250 per day.
