R510-400-1. Authority and Purpose

(1) The purpose of the rule is to facilitate the administration of the Home and Community Based Alternatives Program (Alternatives Program), which delivers services in a variety of community settings designed to assist older individuals in avoiding institutionalization and ensuring that their social and medical needs are met. (2) The rule is authorized by Section 26B-5-104 and the Older Americans Act of 1965, 42 U.S.C. 3030d(a)(5).
