R51-5-4. Loan Application

(1) The department shall accept and process loan requests from eligible applicants regardless of race, age, sex, creed, color, religion, national origin, or on any other basis prohibited by law. (2) An applicant shall request a loan in writing on the forms provided by the department. (3) The Executive Committee requires a minimum of 90 days to process, approve, and close a loan. (4) An applicant may request a loan at any time during the year. (5) Approval of a loan shall be subject to the availability of funds. The department shall impartially consider each loan application based on the program objectives and priorities approved by the Executive Committee. (6) The department encourages applicants to apply for available federal funds, such as from the United States Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency, or other cost-share assistance.
