A. All electrical switches, controls, motors, wiring and equipment located in explosive material plants shall conform to the requirements of 29 CFR 1910 Subpart S (Electrical). B. In any operations where the continuous supply of power may cause a hazard to employees, an alternate source of power shall be provided. C. The primary electrical supply to an explosives area shall be so arranged that it can be cut off by switches located at one or more central points away from the area. D. When static electricity is a hazard, non-sparking conductive floors and work surfaces or other approved methods to control and disperse static electricity are required. Continuity of grounding on all mechanical devices shall be assured. E. Only artificial lighting devices approved for the location shall be permitted in explosive areas.
