R708-7-1. Purpose

The purpose of this rule is to establish the: (1) procedure for administering the standards and guidelines used by health care professionals to assess certain medical conditions in relation to driving safety; (2) responsibilities of health care professionals to educate patients on medical conditions that may affect driving safety; (3) responsibilities of individuals regarding their health in relation to driving safety; and (4) procedures regarding a petition requesting removal of an ignition interlock restriction.
