R722-930-4. Procedure for Automatic Expungement Processing

Upon electronic receipt of a completed court order to expunge a clean slate eligible criminal case, the bureau shall: (1) determine whether the clean slate eligible criminal case is contained within the Utah Criminal History database and the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Next Generation Identification database; (2) remove any information associated with the criminal case from applicable databases; (3) create a record of the automatic expungement in a separate database for use by authorized entities under Sections 77-40a-403 and 77-40a-404; and (4) provide electronic notice to each law enforcement agency identified in the order of expungement.
