R986-600-602. Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act

(1) The goals of WIOA are to: (a) increase a client's occupational skills, employment, retention, and earnings; (b) decrease welfare dependency; (c) support alignment of education and economic development; (d) increase prosperity of clients, employers, and community; and (e) improve the quality of the workforce and national productivity. (2) WIOA is for clients who need assistance finding employment to achieve self-sufficiency. (3) Services are available for the following groups: adults, dislocated workers, and youth.
