R392-703-5. Requirements for Non-Aquatic Communal Bathing Facilities

The operator of a non-aquatic communal bathing facility shall, at a minimum: (1) maintain floors, benches, walls, and other contact surfaces in a clean condition and free of visible mold, slime, or excessive moisture accumulation; (2) clean and disinfect each high-contact surface at a frequency sufficient to prevent unsanitary conditions, but at least once per day of use; (3) maintain ventilation sufficient to prevent excessive condensation and microbial growth; (4) provide adequate drainage to prevent standing water accumulation; and (5) post signage advising patrons not to use the facility if the patron has a communicable disease transmissible through water or skin contact.
